I and fellow students want the school board to allow kids to go off campus for lunch. This year we have seen a drastic fall in the quality of cafeteria food. We have heard from other students that they have found mold on the bread and food that is making them sick.  Opening up the campus would not only help students get to better quality food it would also bring down the wait times if you do choose to get food in the Cafeteria. The Cafeteria during lunchtime serves food up to 1,650 students alone not including faculty. Which creates long lines that take up almost the whole lunch period to get some food. What we are asking is the ability to go off campus and be able to sit in our cars for lunch. Now that it is getting colder and rain is becoming more prominent in weather we would like to be able to sit in our cars at lunch. That way we have a way to keep out of the cold because teachers keep their classrooms locked at lunch and there aren't enough tables in the Cafeteria for us to sit. We are willing to make compromises with the admin to be able to achieve this freedom. We think Juniors and Seniors should be allowed off-campus for lunch because we feel they have the maturity to be responsible about it. We also say that admin should be allowed to create a more strict late policy for kids to go off campus.
