End Rape Violence & Sexual Assault by implementing Consent Workshops in High Schools

It’s time to take action and attack the problem at its root. If schools begin to educate their students about consent at an earlier age, such as high school, rather than waiting until college then the statistics will lessen tremendously. Since most of high school students are participating in sexual intercourse and sexual activity, it is significant that they have the proper information beforehand and know that they are entitled to have the freedom of choice to object or reject. Having students be open to consent workshops in High School at this primitive age, will help diminish a severe percentile of rape and sexual assault incidents because they will have an understanding that they should seek consent first from their partner before they act. Consent is an agreement to participate in a sexual activity without being pressured to do so. Consent is freely given, enthusiastic, specific, informed and reversible. It is significant for individuals to comprehend that sexual activity such as oral sex, genital touching and vaginal or anal penetration without consent is rape and it is a crime in where the perpetrator is the only one to blame. Take Part of the Action! Be the change! Stand up for the Silent Voices!
