Mental Health Days in schools

Mental Health Days in schools
We are proposing to have mental health days in school. Giving students mental health days can be the factor between having a really good semester and a really bad semester. Students should have 3 days a semester to be able to take a break when they’re feeling a lot of pressure in school. Many students don’t take advantage of these days, but just having them available makes teens feel more secure in their work and with the pressure faced upon them to be great. These absences will be excused with a parent signature so that it is known the student isn’t skipping class. All work missed will be made up so students don’t fall behind with their peers. During these mental health days students should relax and take care of themselves, spend time with friends and family, catch up on work, or anything that lifts the pressure. Everyone needs a break sometimes, and giving teenagers this option to relax and refresh, not only will it boost their mental health but also make them feel better and do better in school too. 3 days a semester, only these 3 days can help every teen in america be their better selves. All we ask is that you sign this petition so we can get a law into place allowing students to have these mental health days.
