Change middle school flag football back to Tackle Football.

Change middle school flag football back to Tackle Football.
Hello, my name is Aarmann Singh and today I will be talking to you guys about The issue on Middle schools switching from Traditional tackle football to Flag football. Many people Today see Football as a very dangerous sport and they are even taking their kids out of it, so Middle schools in our district decided to change to flag football because of growing health concerns and lack of people joining. There are many problems with this switch and according to USA today Sports, not all middle schools are willing to make the switch so many teams have to forfeit games and have a smaller season because of other schools that would regularly be on their schedules deciding to either take football out completely or stick with the traditional tackle football. Also according to USA Today Sports there were many rising health concerns on middle school football players and since making the switch there has been a definite decline in football related injuries. I agree with this statement from USA Today Sports, But speaking from personal experience, these kids need to learn proper tackling forms early on so they don't risk even worse injuries in the future. For example if a kid never plays tackle football and only flag football for their middle school. When they go into highschool they have no choice but to play tackle football, and then the coaches at the school have a whole freshman team that they have to teach the proper form from scratch. I believe that if you look at this in the long run, kids once they reach highschool will have improper form when it comes to tackling and this will lead to many more injuries due to improper tackling techniques. Another big issue with this switch is the kids who actually want to play tackle football, only have one choice which is to find a travel team. Unfortunately these travel teams can be very expensive and some kids may not be able to afford those teams because they can be up to triple the price of just joining the school team. So this forces kids out of tackle football and puts them behind their peers who have been training on travel teams and learning proper hitting drills and techniques. A couple things you guys could do to help turn this around is attend district school board meetings where they discuss these topics, because so far district 203 and 204 have switched to flag football but there is still hope with many other school districts yet to have made the change we can all continue to provide information at these meetings for the exact reasons I stated in this speech. Thank you for your time.
