It is time to go mask optional! 
We urge reconsideration of this resistance to this order by the school system and insist a look to the facts that support that masking is not the answer to preventing the spread of COVID.

On February 4, 2022 Sangamon County Jude Grischow ruled that the emergency mask mandate and guidance from the Governor IDPH & ISBE are void. The mask mandates in our schools are illegal.  NO Authority exists under law to mandate masks in our schools for children and staff. The misconception of this ruling by our schools administration is blatantly putting them at risk of legal action.  A riskier action than following the mask mandate restraining order.  43 other states could not be wrong when it comes to discontinuing the use of masks to attempt to mitigate COVID.  They have found, as has the CDC (see below link) that the use of a cloth mask offer NO protection from COVID.  See below Links

These mandates are purely a political ploy for control and have NO place in our schools.

It is being proven over and over that COVID recovery rates are significant and that morbidity rates are DIRECTLY related to  and other pre-existing conditions.

we have kids that are so afraid of removing a mask that something bad will happen to them now from the two years of the emotional abuse and scare tactics. We have kids suffering from depression and are suicidal from two years of lossing many things such as normal socializing sports or walking for graduation!  Our children deserve to be kids and parents deserve the right to choose for there children wether they should mask up or not. It’s time to stop political divide and using children as pawns to further the divide. To let it be that they have the right to choose and a right to an education regardless of their choice.  It has been two years too long and I petition you to let our school be MASK OPTIONAL!!!
