As we have been informed that school has been permitted to reopen from 7th Feb 2022 for senior classes and we as parents are not in favor of our child attending offline schooling or exams because of the reasons mentioned below:
• We have not received any formal instruction from the school regarding the offline exams. Only informal notice has been given by the teachers verbally. This is highly unofficial and not appreciable at all
• The children are not fully vaccinated yet and many haven’t got the first dose and the majority have not received the 2nd dose of the covid vaccine. As for the students who are fully vaccinated, they will also develop their immunity only after 2 weeks. As a result, the immunity of the students remains questionable for the time being.
• According to the DDMA Order No. 518 dt.04.02.2022, the schools are to continue with the hybrid mode of classes and offline schooling can not be mandated as of now. Amity international school is also having online exams for class 11 so it shouldn’t be an issue.
• According to the DDMA Order No. 518 dt.04.02.2022, the students can’t be called to the school without the written parents’ consent and we do not consent to send our child to school.
• Moreover, many of the students use public transport for traveling to school and that is also quite unsafe for them.
Ergo, it is my request to keep the final exams of class 11 online.
