Staples High School is trying to administer midterms just to have them at this point, and they are simply serving no purpose. It’s not just going to take up 2 weeks of learning taking tests that will get us no where; it puts a lot of unnecessary stress on both students and staff at Staples. Many teachers have also been out due to Covid and in turn have left many students I’ll prepared for these tests. If we get midterms canceled it would first give us back 2 weeks of learning, and will reduce stress immensely for both students and teachers. Canceling midterms would also make students grades more reflective of their hard work because they have already proved they know the material in past tests. Midterms would simply just add on to the pile of work that students would have to do and potentially make a drop in grades. Hopefully is students at staples can push for midterms to be canceled and save us plenty of stress, time, and learning.
