The class of 2021 has had a terrible year so far and the one thing we’ve been holding out for is graduation. Our administration wants to hold our graduation at the Lorain Palace, where they can “guarantee social distancing”; however, the senior class feels as though this is not the case due to the confining nature of the building. We believe it would be best to have a backup plan made in which we could celebrate our graduation outside. Perhaps on our football field. We believe that if the administration can “guarantee social distancing” at football games, they can do it for the most important day of our school year. 
The senior class would not be satisfied with an online graduation ceremony as a our automatic backup. We believe it is a cop-out and that there is more than enough time to plan an adequate backup graduation. The graduation they planned for the year of 2020 was disappointing because it was so last minute, and we don’t want what they had. We believe that they can do better for us by planning it outside. We would be willing to sacrifice some of our tickets in order for this to happen.
