Ellie Shannon started this petition to School

I dyed my hair and got put in isolation which is not fair because I am well behaved and don't deserve it, this doesn't only happen to me, it happens to other people too. It doesn't help our education at all! Schools discriminate our differences. They don't let us express our unique, individual selves and I don't think it is fair. The rules of dyed hair, piercings and tattoos in work places have changed, so why can't schools change them as well? It doesn't distract us from our school work, it makes us feel happy because we are showing people who we are on the outside. It increases our confidence and self esteem. If the head teachers cared about us they would let us show who we truly are, they would want us to be happy. I feel more confident with my hair and I am going to keep it but since I am keeping it they are going to make me work in isolation until it washes completely out, I'm a year 11 so I need the education! My hair is more important to them than my education. Dyed hair and piercings don't change what your personality is like, it doesn't affect our life goals, job or education. So please sign my petition because I want us to all to have the chance to express ourselves!
