Giovanni LoPiccolo started this petition to Schenectady and

Brandywine Avenue serves as the entrance to the City of Schenectady for many drivers when exiting I-890, and even though much of the city has seen revitalization  such as downtown, this area has been neglected by the city and its leadership.

This petition serves as a wake-up call for the City of Schenectady to repave one of its main roads leading to a highway entrance/exit. We the residents of Schenectady pay our fair share in city taxes that need to be used for the improvement of local infrastructure.

Section of repaving needed: Intersection of Brandywine Ave and State Street all the way to the bridge over I-890.

I was born and raised in Schenectady, I am just 23 years old, but the degradation of this city is clearly apparent and that responsibility falls upon the city government. The spirit of our nation can be rooted to perseverance, resilience, and opportunity. I refuse to believe that Schenectady has lost the fire of its spirit, yet it is struggling to stay lit.

How can the city expect more business, tourism, and increase in wealth if it becomes a hassle to drive on its roads?
