Petition To Get Senior Quotes Back In Rossview High School Yearbook

This petition had 434 supporters

The Principal of Rossview High School has made the decision to disallow Senior Quotes for the graduation Class of 2018. The following reasons were given to one of the parents during Open House: 1. The Class of 2017 submitted too many inappropriate quotes; 2. The Class of 2017 submitted too many quotes with inappropriate innuendos; 3. The Class of 2017's quotes took entirely too long to edit; 4. Her staff spent too much time dedicated to editing Class of 2017 quotes that should've been spent helping teachers and students. 5. "If a student really wants a quote in their yearbook, they can write it in themselves - it's the same thing."

The Class of 2018 is not the cause the problem, however we are the recipients of the punishment. I understand that Rossview High has not had Senior Quotes throughout its entire history, but we would like to open dialogue with administrators in the hopes of bringing quotes back.

Parent volunteers have made offers to assist with the editing process, to include a parent who is an editor by career to which the administrator said "Absolutely not!"
