The Scenic Rim Regional Council is unwilling to suspend ground water extractions by private profit driven organisations despite evidence suggesting the ground water supplies are drying up due to the ongoing drought and lack of rain.  The Queensland government continues to maintain its a Council issue.  

Currently residents are needing to purchase truckloads of drinking water and there is a waiting list of up to a month as delivery can't meet demand.

This petition is to send a message to the Scenic Rim Regional Council and the Queensland Government that drinking water shortages are a real issue to the 7,000 plus Tamborine Mountain residents and they need help and a solution.
