Tebogo Kaulela started this petition to SCC Chairperson of NWU Mafikeng Campus

I the requester and undersigned students of NWU Mafikeng Campus hereby request a mass meeting which should be held as follows: 16/08/2019, at the Great hall, at 12:00

Our request is based on section 4.6.3.1  of the SCC rules which states the following:

"A mass meeting may be requested by any registered student, referred to as the
requester, by way of a petition signed by a minimum of ten percent (10%) of the
eligible full-time registered contact students of the respective campus of the
NWU and stating clearly and concisely the grounds for the request, submitted to
the SCC Chairperson for approval."

As students of NWU Mafikeng Campus who have burning issues that affect us such as :

1. Needs for Off-campus safety.

2. Being dictated and neglected after elections as our leaders tend to forget us when they get into office.

3. We also want our voices to be heard and taken seriously by management and the SCC office barriers before they craft any budget which tends to overlook the needs of students and focus on their pockets.

4. We also want our leaders to make students aware of the issue of NSFAS R275.

5. We also call this meeting for we are against the issue of students having to move out of the residences during the end of the second semester.

6.  2.10 collaborate with Student Life in the drafting of the Registration and
Introduction/Orientation Programme we also want the SCC deputy chairperson to make an R&IP that will educate students about the policies of the institution and also assist students with getting residences as the SCC led by Theo failed to get all students inducted for most students went to look for accommodation... the ALDE test results support the fact that not all first-year students wrote the test.

7. We also request that the newly elected SCC Add an AOB point on the agenda.

8. Moreover, we request that the benefits of the SCC members be decreased with immediate effect.

9. Above all, we request that those who fail to meet the demands of students to resign with immediate effect.
