In 2006/7 the council put forward plans to develop 3 areas of green space for housing. The 3 areas were helredale Rd St Peters Rd and the area of land now under discussion at california field. Despite many objections at the time permission was given for the go ahead to develop helredale n parts of St Peters but it was decided that developing california field should not be allowed on the grounds of flooding rom california beck. If sale goes ahead would mean loss of green space for exercising, walking dogs, playing for kids, also a memorial which has been set up for a little girl. Then there's, the wild life on which there is a lot of on there and in the calla. Now 15 yrs later it seems what was said then does now not apply and why!! Despite the fact that there is now an even greater risk from global warning, so what has happened in the meantime to make them change there mind?
