As of recently due to warm weather the skatepark here in Scarborough has become increasingly busy causing concern from locals and the police that is a breach of covid  

The numbers of people exercising in the daytime especially on the weekends can be excessive this as mainly young children and parents come occupy the park at this time 

This has resulted in the older users of the park using the facilities later in the day when it is dark as it is empty at these time however to combat the amount of people at the skatepark the council have turned the lights off meaning people can no longer spread out their times of use making it so everyone who uses the space must come in daylight hours making it all the more busy and a greater risk for spread of covid 

I propose that the council once again turn on the lights so we can help make the skatepark users spread their excercise out over a larger period of time allowing for a less busy and generally safer atmosphere
