To Whom it May Concern,

First and foremost I hope you and your loved ones are safe and healthy.

I am writing to you with regards to payment of the final instalment for tenants currently living at Scape Student Living.

During these unprecedented times, nobody is certain of the outcome or duration of this pandemic and the direction of measures in place to suppress it. Additionally, many are financially comprised due to the current economic state of the world. Therefore, it is particularly unheeding the lack of support and guidance offered surrounding payment of rent at Scape.

It has come to the attention of many of us that there is a breach of the AST Agreement through a lack of services that were initially promised.

These include:

- Closure of the gym

- No Entertainment Spaces

- No Communal Kitchen

- No maintenance (Unless Necessary)

- Significantly less staff on site

- Less cleaning practices

- No visitors

Although much of this is due to government advice and we commend Scape for taking such action, it would be unreasonable to expect tenants to still pay the full amount.

I must also add that other private student accommodations are offering compensation or even complete reimbursement for the academic year due to the current crisis.

Therefore, we believe it is reasonable to demand either:

- A full release of payment of the final installment for all current tenants. For students who have paid-in-full, they should be reimbursed the amount.

- A 50% discount for those who remain at Scape, and a full release of the final payment for those who have had no choice but to return to their home countries for their own safety. For students who have paid-in-full, they should also be reimbursed also.

Given the premium price for the tenancy, we believe a premium service should reflect this and the lack of communication has been noted. Travel shortages and curfews vary from country to country. For this reason, it is not appropriate to set a single date for students from many states. Due to the force majeure, a special assessment should be made and this date should be extended.

We hope you can understand our distress and react appropriately.

Many thanks

Scape Tenants
