The length of the day without breaking up the day is detrimental to the children. Having recess at the very end of the day is not beneficial and causes for a very long day for the children. Also not having outdoor activities properly sponsored so everyone has a fair chance to play sports and with certain balls. Having children have PE twice a week with a 30 min recess at the end of the day in second grade is not sufficient and does nothing to enhance their physical component of their education.
