Students from SHS would like to participate in the National Walk-Out against gun violence.

Students at Sayville High School would like to participate in the 17-minute walk out beginning at 10 am on March 14th to commemorate the one-month anniversary of the Stoneman-Douglas High School shooting. This issue is very concerning to us, as there have been 18 school shootings so far this year. We wish to peacefully walk out of the building for 17 minutes (one minute for every victim) to articulate our interests and our desire for gun control, and we are hoping that we will not be met with repercussions as this is a nationwide event to appeal to the government. If you are interested in participating, please sign this petition.
