The Southtown Apartment complex that is proposed for Leasure Town Road and Redstone Parkway will increase the community’s population and create increased traffic that the community currently cannot support with the community parks, streets and schools.

The continual traffic problems that are currently endangering our streets will only continue rise with more traffic. Our young children already cannot play in the community without having to be concerned with reckless drivers.

In addition, Southtown home owners have paid higher taxes to support this community whereas apartment renters will not be subject to the same taxes as the home owners in the community. Southtown home owners were told that the open property was to be used for duets and not apartments. 

This petition is meant for the Southtown community to come together and voice our concerns with the proposed plans for the Southtown Apartments. Without the power of the community’s voice, this project may be approved. Let us all be heard.
