Palm Beach County is working on a "walkability plan" in Lake Osborne Estates. This would consist of establishing sidewalks along the EAST side of Lake Osborne dr. (on your properties), with the intent to connect them with the inner streets existing sidewalks. The Commissioners office believes this to be a good thing and that the community will benefit.

There are 58 houses in LOE this would directly impact. This petition is to demonstrate the number of homeowner’s who are not in favor of this plan.

It does not appear to be a good use of taxpayers’ money when there is a well enjoyed park pathway already existent on the west side, which is one of the many reasons people enjoy this area.

Often the very location of where these sidewalks are located, are puddles of water accumulated from rains because our houses are elevated from the street.

Many large and well established trees and landscaping would have to be destroyed.

This is a well-established 70+ year old community, where houses on LO Dr. were made facing the lake for the view, not people on a sidewalk in front of our windows. We believe this will cause for safety and liability concerns when it comes to crime, disturbances, and maintenance.
