Say NO to Restaurant Depot on Crenshaw between Crenshaw Grand and Anthony

The City of Pasadena, TX currently has land being cleared for potential use.  As it goes out for bid, it is implied that Restaurant Depot is keen on bidding to locate here after Preston Trails did not want it behind them.

The City should find a more suitable location for a warehouse business such as this with Beltway frontage/access only.  This business has daily 18-wheeler, refrigerated truck, and commercial food truck traffic which would tear up our side streets and be unwanted traffic and noise.  This location would be a detriment to renters at the newish apartments and could hasten their decline as many might not want to rent with a view of of this business.    Homes on Anthony would have this too close to their backyards.    Crenshaw is a primary road into our nice residential areas.   This location is prone to flooding and already does get street flooding.   It has Little Vince Bayou crossing the property and has the potential to increase flooding making commuting difficult on rainy days.  This property borders the residential hike and bike trail which would become hazardous to the families who use it were there to be heavy truck and daily traffic here.  This type of business could harm residential property values in such close proximity.  There are many more suitable businesses that can go here without being high volume traffic  and unsightly.

Restaurant Depot, if they build in our city, need to be a beltway access only business.  Please sign to let the City of Pasadena know that you expect them to add businesses that enhance our area and benefit the tax-paying residents.   This business only services restaurants and the commercial food industry and does not provide any day-to-day value to most of the area's nearby neighborhoods.  If this business were a good thing to be near residential areas -- would the city be so evasive when residents inquire about it?

Response updates will periodically be sent to the mayor's office, Councilman Schoenbien and Ruben Vogel, COO of Restaurant Depot via
