Say No to Conditional use permit on a 2.9 acre lot located on Newland in Huntington Beach
Why this petition matters

A request to create a 331-space parking lot for a period of five years on a vacant, 2.9-acre site north of Huntington State Beach on the east side of Newland, south of the Huntington Beach Channel has been put on the calendar for May 18, 2022 at 1:30pm at City Hall Huntington Beach.
This location is adjacent to Huntington by the Sea Mobile Estates (a community of 300+ houses) and across the street from AES.
There are numerous reasons why this is a bad idea:
Noise (fireworks, car alarms, people and vehicles)
Very dangerous blind curve
Traffic created by entering and exiting onto Newland - traffic is already heavy during community events
Trash - We've all seen the beach after an event!
Hours of Operation - State Beach is open from 6am - 10pm. Residents live within feet of this proposed parking lot
Reduced Quality of Life - All these things are going to greatly affect the local community and this is a very bad idea
Do we need 331 more cars trying to get onto Huntington State Beach off of Newland?
