It's time to stop inappropriate development and habitat destruction. The Mornington pPeninsula is the jewel in Melbournes crown. It is unthinkable that the Ross Trust, which has a charter to protect and preserve native fauna and flora wants to destroy it instead.

We need to preserve and slow down destruction of habitats and our scenic beauty. I’m not an activist just someone who wants a future for her grandchildren. We need to slow the pace of life down. We need to preserve more of our nation and world.

The area is my special place. I've worked with landcare to care for this area and in turn it's looked after me. Now I need to be a voice for the flora and fauna in this precious area.

Because we should preserve our natural environment and wildlife. One they are gone they are gone!

It's about time we actually paid attention to the environment and took the hard decisions. Opening up a new quarry is a strange decision for a charitable organisation.

This would be an absolute tragedy on so many levels. We should not be destroing our beautiful peninsula or any Australian land for that matter. Our lands are too valuable! Our ecosystems will suffer as well as the tourism industries plus the locals

Some people are wilfully blind, greedy, stupid or uneducated. Which are the Ross Trust trustees? If the latter, they could watch Tim Flannery's recent ABC TV excellent Catalyst documentary about the possible demise of the koala - and WITHDRAW THEIR APPLICATION.

This is a beautiful natural heritage area - to be preserved for the living, and those to come.
