We are a group of local residents setting up to fight a prior-approval planning application, submitted by the mobile phone company 3 (Hutchison 3G UK Ltd) to install a 16 metre (52.4ft!) high 5G transmitter mast within the small area of green in Rothbury Close, Sholing, adjacent to the Chapel Crescent junction.

The plan shows its proposed location. As you can see, it is a monster and who knows what the health implications are! It will completely overshadow the properties in the area, dominate the skyline and present a terrible eyesore within our community.

The size of the mast will be approximately double the house heights, so will be seen by many neighbouring roads.

They say on the application that a public consultation has happened but no residents has been consulted about this application.

Please sign our petition to get these plans rejected. We do not want this eyesore in our small cul-de-sac.
