Why this petition matters

Started by Alastair CORBOULD

As a community, the numbers of bandicoots are dropping, and we need to protect them. Loss of habitat and multiple predators are leaving bandicoots almost extinct. Large timber companies Are cutting down forests leaving bandicoots with no home. In 1989 fewer than 150 bandicoots were left in the wild and protective services combined. Just 24 years late bandicoots were pronounced extinct in the wild, and 9 years later in the present day there are 1500 bandicoots in protected areas and the wild combined. Deforestation is leaving these helpless animals vulnerable to predators like owls, quolls, cats, dingoes and foxes. From now on we must low down deforestation rates and get the bandicoots there homes back.

Sign the petition and we can stop deforestation together.
