There is nothing worse than going on a hike, swimming, or walking your dog and you see a plastic bag from a grocery store on the ground. It is often left just blowing in the wind and no one picks it up. These bags as much as they seem harmless, have major consequences. Many animals, on land and water, mistake it for food. This has very negative effects on there digestive system and bodies as a whole. It also effects our coral reefs and contributes to their destruction. But luckily there is a simple change. Instead of packing groceries in plastic bags, we can use paper ones. Not only is this better for the environment, but they are also stronger than plastic ones and bigger which means less bags as a whole when getting groceries. We can accomplish this by protesting for the removal of plastic bags from stores and implementing paper in replace of it.  If we start using paper over plastic bags, our environment will definitely improve but if we don;t it will continue to decrease. We all want a better environment so sign my petition for a cleaner earth!
