In Purok San Francisco, Barangay Busay, Bago City my late Grandfather, and Former  Brgy. Captain planted Narra Trees along the road. These trees were planted years ago and are now threatened to be cut down due to road widening project of DPWH. As the family of Former Brgy. Captain Rodolfo Oro, we are against the cutting of trees because these are our Lolo’s remembrance to us. As a resident of Purok San Francisco this is important to us because these trees are giving us shade and oxygen. As a Filipino these trees are also vital to us because climate change has a great impact to the Philippines and these trees are no ordinary trees but Narra Trees, our National Tree and should be protected by the government. As an environmentalist this is painful because trees are the largest oxygen producing plant in this planet. They absorb greenhouse gases and home to birds and other wildlife. This is a Petition is addressed to Brgy. Busay, DPWH and DENR. Please save these Narra Trees. Right now these trees are being pruned.
