This is an important site for people of all ages, some travel to use it. By removing it you will bt default displace the otherwise lawful activities to aces less suited and less tolerated.

Skateparks are great hubs for people of all ages. They provide an autonomous space which promotes socialization, growth, personal challenge/development, and engagement with other people and cultures. Giving kids a place to play and be will keep them out of trouble.

This needs funding and the safety aspects addressing instead of being left to rot.

I used to enjoy the local Skate Park in Sydney Australia and I have young children that will one day be looking for things to do in the local area. Taking these sorts of facilities away from young people only results in them doing less desirable activities and causing trouble.

I saw the skatepark when it was first built. We viewed it before we built our own in Driffield. Our park is still popular with young people and I am sure the young people of Malton still need this.
