Enough with the cuts. Use the TIF funds and stop propping up corporate interests.

Libraries here in the UK are under threat too - as a library worker and user I believe libraries are essential resources. The people of Lambeth in London are campaigning to save libraries for the community - see the website http://defendthe10-lambeth.org.uk/
Good luck and I hope you get your librarian Sarah back

These young people deserve a solid education, including someone to teach and help them to find information, and to learn to locate information themselves. Keep, or reinstate, this librarian. Thank you!

My mom is a retired teacher in Memphis. I can not imagine sending my children to a school with no library. There has to be another way. My fondest memories as a child revolved around both the school and public libraries.

I'm signing this petition for change because I am an alumni of Chicago Public Schools and I am a Media Specialist. I support librarians in the CPS. They are more than just book keepers. They are teachers, advocates, and voices of change.

I'm signing because my mom was a school librarian/media specialist and she changed and continues to change so many lives... truly, reading/reading guidance is the heartbeat of any educational institution.

Im a former classroom educator at CPS, Whitney Young, MHS, now I teach at large. The library period, is a sanctuary for critical thinking, and thr fountain of wisdom and knowlege flows through books.

Libraries are an essential part of growing up. Learning without the proper tools is not progress.
