We oppose the proposed plan to rezone the Wild Cherry Corner Woods at 96th Street & Haverstick Rd in Carmel to build 33 townhomes on 2.59 acres. The proposed development is not compatible with the Low Intensity Residential Use designated in the Comprehensive Plan, and its 2 proposed access roads would impede traffic and increase danger to both motorists and pedestrians. The plan would destroy the minimal green space buffer between I-465 and the residential area north of 96th street by decimating areas with large mature trees and local wildlife. Let Mayor Brainard and the Carmel Plan Commission know you oppose the development plan by signing this petition.
