The developers are taking over our neighborhood, tearing down houses and small apartment buildings, to build over-sized apartments, reducing the number of parking spaces to 1/2 per unit, looming over us, taking our sunshine away. They are counting on us, in a lower-income neighborhood, to not have the resources to fight it, just as they did when they built the 10 through mid-city, tearing down homes of lower-income residents. The madness has to stop. There is a six-story apartment building proposed at 29th & West, six stories high, twenty-two units (five affordable units and seventeen market-rate units) with eleven parking spaces. This building does not belong in the middle of this neighborhood. We need to fight back! Reduce the scope, reduce the height, increase the parking.
