The PNM government is destroying Trinidad and Tobago.

• Crime has risen to unprecedented levels,
• the economy is being strangled (from before the COVID 19 Pandemic) with the sale or destruction of state assets like the Petrotrin refinery,
• thousands of people died needlessly during the pandemic due to mis-management of the health sector,
• the infrastructure (roads, water supply) is decrepit and crumbling,
• hopelessness is rife, since thousands lost their jobs during the pandemic, and as a result, mental illness, child abuse and crime are rising. 

There seems to be no end in sight since as bad as the Government is, the Opposition is worse. The Opposition Leader, Kamla Persad-Bissessar, has lost two general elections, and has been rejected by the electorate in a number of other elections since 2010, but refuses to resign. 

As long as Persad-Bissessar is in charge of the Opposition, the PNM will continue to win elections. She must resign, but because of the nature of the UNC, the control the leader has of party machinery and a small core of diehards who enable her, she can hold on to the position indefinitely, or at least until 2025, when she will undoubtedly let the PNM back in for 5 years. The damage done to the country will probably be irreversible and generational.

Kamla Persad-Bissessar must resign to give the UNC a chance to win an election. If she does not, the country will suffer for decades, and will probably never recover.
