There were times in Dehradun, when summers used to pleasant unlike torrid these days. One could hardly imagine the soaring 40-42 degree celcius in Dehradun. All thanks to the decision making establishments formulated for the sake of public well being, who keep convenience of tourists over sustainable future. 

And yet again Hon'ble Uttrakhand High Court has given nod to chop a major chunk of eucalyptus trees providing shade to the busy Sahastradhara road, Dehradun, since decades. All this in the name of giving convenient access to the tourists travelling to Mussoorie. The irony of the matter is, despite protests, the Forest department pays no heed and is concerned only with the convenience of the tourists, who are now ready to ruin Dehradun the way they have ruined Mussoorie.

Unity is strength and we could not have a better time to demonstrate the same. Let's join hands together and sign this petition to save the trees, save us and save the globe.
