On June 1st Israeli authorities made the final decision to to demolish the Palestinian village of Khan al Ahmar along with a school built for young children. This means that any moment now the Israeli government, could destroy the homes of around 180 people who have lived there for over 60 years.

Please help us to save this school and homes by signing this petition.

The so called "Rubber Tyre School" was built by “Vento di Terra” organization and other NGOs. In that place lies hope for a a future of peace for over 170 children that live in the village and surrounding areas. It has become a symbol of the right to education and the defense of rights for those living under the occupation.

My name is Angela, I'm a painter and a traveler. My art is dedicated to social justice, to the defense of the rights of women, of children, of peoples in territories of war and terrorism. I chose to create this petition and support this cause with all my heart, because I believe that every school in any part of the world should represent a place of growth and at the same time a place of dialogue and peace.

Because of the occupation and limitations on travels, the children in that village have no real alternative to education. This demolition would create a dangerous precedent and a serious damage to the local community, and could lead to the deportation of the people living there.

Every child on earth has the right to be educated, to have the means to develop their own potential, to learn the culture and the notions to build the foundations for a better future.

It's not right. It is cruel, it is inhumane to make the voiceless to become the victims. My anger, my indignation, arise from here: they are cutting them the freedom to grow by studying and learning, of becoming better men and women.

Let’s not trample the rights to life, freedom, education, of innocent children whose school is the only mean to build a better future. Let's help them!

I'm with #TheTyreSchool. #SaveOurSchool
