Petition update

City Council meeting, Monday 7/28, 5:30pm at the high school

Whittemore Action Committee

Jul 27, 2014 — A policy order by Councillor Dennis Carlone in support of our petition will be up for discussion at tomorrow's City Council meeting.

CORRECTION: Due to construction, this is NOT at City Hall, but at the Cambridge Rindge and Latin School (the highschool, at 459 Broadway)

If you are able to attend this meeting, you may speak at the beginning of the meeting for up to three minutes during "public comment." Offer your own unique perspective on why the Whittemore Ave Garden should be preserved and what it means to you. This is VERY HELPFUL in terms of showing support for this effort.

You can sign-up at the meeting, between 5pm and 6pm, or you can call the City Council Office (617-349-4280) between 9am and 3pm to put your name closer to the beginning of the list. The item to speak about is "Policy Order #2, saving the Whittemore Community Garden."

If you are unable to speak at the meeting, consider e-mailing or calling Councillors you know directly, or e-mailing the entire City Council at Council@cambridgema.gov. (We'd love it if you were to cc: or bcc: us at whittemore-action@googlegroups.com if you do).
