I have bought 2 turtles from theturtlestore.com and they have sold me these turtles knowing that they didn't have the life expectancy of 6 months. I took Jolene our second turtle to the vet and the vet informed me that you can tell by the shell and the rings that if they are going to be healthy or not, she also informed me that it was very apparent that she had been born with internal issues. The company theturtlestore.com does not care, they are mass producing these turtles and selling them with the knowledge that these turtles have no chance at a good life, selling them for $70 to $3000 a piece for these turtles. Turtles can have the lifespan of 30 to 50 years and this company has reduced that 3 to 6 months. I know I am not the only one this has happened to with buying from this company. So,  please do not purchase from them they are creating defenseless baby turtles to suffer and  tearing little children's hearts apart for a dollar. No one should profit off of the lives of these sweet creatures. We need to stop these companies from creating these babies and genetically altering them to be mutated with two heads as well as playing God with the intention of them staying small for more sells. Just go to the website and see for yourself.  I'm ashamed I even purchased anything from theturtlestore.com.
