This school has such a rich and beautiful tradition that is rooted in those old majestic structures. Nothing new could ever inspire the awe that I had attending St. Louis right there.

One of the things I love about the Catholic Church is that historically it has been a force to improve culture and communities. For example, we owe the existence of the English Countryside to the effort, skill and industry of Catholic monks. I feel the Church has been a part of building something beautiful in our community, and real community has sprung up around it.

I’m signing because I purchased and totally redid a house one block north of Reid Street to be near the school for my high school children and to live in the 70601 area where the traffic & pace are slower. We, also are parishioners of the Cathedral. My mother-in-law was a graduate of ST Charles Academy & continued to support this school the rest of her life. It seems, looking at both of my children’s classes, the majority of their classes are made up of students from ICCS, St Margaret, & OLQH, all of which are in close proximity to the current location of SLC. Have many more reasons to keep it at 1620 Bank St.

St. Louis name needs to die with the location! If you move it name it something else. Morganfield is not the place for St. Louis High School.

Alumnist of St. Louis, Class of 96. Keep the school were it belongs. In the heart of Lake Charles. Everyone knows its location and it is a relative location for everyone who has been there for many generations since its first name of Landry High.
