Why this petition matters

Started by Simon Altice

Red pandas are cute, interesting creatures that live in temperate forests in the Himalayas. They eat lots of bamboo which helps keep the quick spreading bamboo at bay.

But sadly Red pandas are endangered, with only 10,000 left in the world. We must help these furry animals before it's too late.

What happens if they go extinct?

If red pandas officially go extinct, bamboo plants will go out of control. It will grow over other plants that need to grow to make the balanced Himalayan ecosystem. Many animals that eat red pandas might become endangered too, if that happened that could possibly make the already endangered Snow leopard critically endangered.

Why are red pandas going extinct?

The reason red pandas are going extinct is because of habitat loss, human interference and poaching for fur hats.

What we could do to help red pandas.

Try to stop poaching them by growing the few protected areas into bigger areas, that will also help to stop destroying the habitats in the himalayas.

Sign the petition to save the red pandas before it's too late.
