The iconic pilings in the Kennebec River are the remainders of The Eastern Steamship Company Wharf that welcomed visitors to Popham Beach, Maine over a century ago. For generations of Popham Beach residents and visitors these Pilings have epitomized the historic, scenic, and natural riches of the community.
Jackson and Susan Parker have been issued a permit by the Department of Environmental Protection to remove these Pilings, as early as November 8, 2017. An Appeal has been filed, and our goal for this petition is to aid the Appeal effort with a strong showing of support for leaving the Popham Pilings as they are. Please sign and help save the Popham Pilings!
