URGENT: YOUR SUPPORT IS DESPERATELY NEEDED TO PRESERVE A PIECE OF MICHIGAN HORSE-RACING HISTORY!

We're urging the Hartman & Tyner families and New York-based real-estate investors Ashley Capital to find a creative way for the adaptive re-use of the saddling paddock at Hazel Park Raceway.

This beautiful, historic paddock can — and should — be preserved and incorporated into a new development so that people know ... there used to be a racetrack here.

Hazel Park Raceway opened in suburban Detroit in 1949 at the corner of 10 Mile and Dequindre, hosting both thoroughbred and harness racing for 69 years.

On April 5, 2018, Hazel Park abruptly announced it was going out of business.

Now it's up to the Hartman & Tyner families and Ashley Capital to find a way to preserve what little history remains of Hazel Park Raceway.

To blindly bulldoze all of Hazel Park Raceway would be a shame.

Demolition of the racetrack could begin any day.
