Domestic violence and sexual assault are life-threatening crime that affected 74,832 people as of 2018 according to The National Network to End Domestic Violence (NNEDV). It is an act that does not discriminant based age, gender identity, sexual orientation, economic status, race, religion, or education level. By re-ratification of the Violence Against Women Act it will close the "boyfriend" loophole and stop those convicted from purchasing a firearm, include trauma informed care training to first responders, expand the definition of Domestic Violence, authorize programs to increase data collection, and requires CDC director to submit reports on best prevention practices. Please help us save the lives of women , men , and children everywhere in the United States.
