I visited in July 2019 and wanted to go all the way thru but part was closed due to the fire. It was a beautiful place!

Another attempt to keep Americans off the land. They're currently proposing a National Recreation Area over the entire Superstition Wilderness and Tonto National Forest—a potential half step toward National Park status. This would forever change the area and the list of restrictions under legal terms like conserve, protect are draconian. Of course fees apply. Get involved. The proposal is being moved forward by SALT and Pinal County Commissioner Jeff Serdy.
Oh! A recreation area, where some people get millions and the rest of humanity looses its access to the land forever.

As being a native in Arizona and coming up on my 62nd birthday I had taken many fishing trips with my parents and siblings using this historic road. Lots of memories! This is part of Arizona history and needs to be fixed immediately
