Save the 474 / 475 Bluewater to Longfield Bus Route

Save the 474 / 475 Bluewater to Longfield Bus Route
Why this petition matters
We petition the council to ensure that the 474/475 bus route is supported financially so that it can continue operating. This is one of a small number of bus services including Bean and Longfield, providing an essential service for locals needing access to food, shopping, education and healthcare.
The loss of this service would leave many locals living in the villages along the route with very limited onward links to the rest of the public transport network and essential services. It’s a lifeline to them.
Without this bus route those without access to a car (seniors, juniors and teenagers, non-drivers, no car owners etc) will be isolated. In addition, it may bring more cars to our already busy roads. People on low income will be forced to look at high priced alternatives, such as hiring cabs for essential rides or even having to consider taking driving lessons.
The government stated it wants to level up bus services outside London and the possible loss of this route and others like it across rural Kent, is at odds with this strategy.
We need a minimum of 1000 signatures for this petition to be considered, please support our local team and help to ensure Kent County Council will listen and act in the interest of its local communities.
