Within the grounds of Springbank industrial estate, Belfast, there is a beautiful wildflower meadow. It is home to a vast array of wildlife and wildflowers, including newts, frogs, moths, butterflies, foxes and birds of prey. As well as being a vital lifeline to local wildlife it is also home to an important local heritage site and potentially holds more of Northern Irelands unique history beneath the ground!  Unfortunately most of this beautiful and historical space is up for sale and if sold will be cleared and factories or storage units will cover a once perfect site for our communities wildlife and local history. 

You can help us change this! The local council have a new planning scheme which allows areas such as this to be put forward by local communities for rezoning, we want this site to be rezoned for conservation, allowing it to be kept as it is and continue supporting biodiversity in our local area...signing this petition may encourage land owners Invest NI to delay/deny any sale of this land until it can be safely rezoned and protected.
