Save Staten Island's Free Covid PCR Testing Sites

Save Staten Island's Free Covid PCR Testing Sites
Why this petition matters
On July 16th, Staten Island's only two brick-and-mortar Covid-19 PCR testing sites at St. John's Villa and the S.I. Ferry will be closing for good, leaving borough residents with no reliable, free testing option.
Unlike other boroughs, Staten Island does not have public hospitals that reliably administer free testing, so residents' only option will be roving public testing vans, which are difficult to locate, have long waits, are understaffed, and often close an hour each day for lunch without notice.
Staten Island deserves designated, reliable, fully-staffed, free PCR testing locations, especially with continuously high positivity rates on the island. We need to make testing easier to access, not more difficult to find.
Please sign this petition to demand equitable testing.
We implore our representatives to fight to keep these sites open and to help keep our community healthy and safe.
Staten Island deserves better.
