I am requesting that you immediately stop the deportation of Shaikh Arfan (A# 073-540-319), so that he may continue to support both his kids and live his life.
Shaikh Arfan was detained for deportation on February 1st, 2012. Shaikh came to America in search of a better future for his family in 1993. Since then, he has been constantly struggling to obtain a green card. Despite his continued struggle, he successfully managed to start a business and purchase a house through hard work alone. With his wife, Shaikh strives to provide the best education possible for his two kids, both of whom are American citizens and brilliant students. Every morning he commutes across Orange County in order to send his daughter, Aditta, to a magnet school.
Shaikh holds notable positions in many Bangladeshi organizations for the better welfare of Central Florida. The organizations hold cultural events and shows for the public that entertain and educate everyone of all ages and all backgrounds. The committees participate in clothing and food drives to aid communities, locally and internationally. Shaikh’s extensive involvement in his community has not only made him a well-known leader, but also a paradigm of excellence.
Shaikh’s deportation will devastate his two children and destroy the bright future that he has worked so hard to create for them. After being stripped from their home, his kids would be transferred to foster care or be forced to leave their American education altogether for a completely foreign country.
Shaikh Arfan has proved himself to be an American in every way possible. He deserves to continue to live here, to continue to support his family, to continue to give back to his community, and to continue to exemplify the hardworking and responsible American, which he has done for the past eighteen years.
I urge you to prevent Shaikh Arfan (A# 073-540-319) from being deported
