I love this restaurant. I will deliberately drive the 4.5 hours from Canada to eat here.

RIP Workie. I only learned about her death yesterday through the owner of Jebena.

We need to make (and use) policy that fights displacement in Seattle. Growth should benefit ALL community members and we have the power to make it happen!

Saba Ethiopian Cuisine was a landmark in the Central area. The developer’s actions towards Workie Worbushet were malicious and racist. Her family, her memory and the community, deserve the strongest possible action against this developer.

As a person of color it is very evident that gentrification can easily wipe away years of blood sweat and tears put forth by well-meaning entrepreneurs, because unethical real estate developers choose to disenfranchise and marginalize specific groups of people.

This is disgusting and deeply disturbing! Saba's family has been discriminated against long enough. Give the family what is due them and shame on these devel8 for their oppresive behavior.
