The Tradition of The HOME

Man needs a FIXED reference, without which, he cannot venture away on unknown paths. Even after the lost of centrality brought about by the Copernican revolution, our “Need for a centre” has remained strong. And the simplest and most immediate centre sought by all is the house, the reference place which offers each one of us the minimum of stability and the ROOTS to enable him to leave it whenever he likes, whether he chooses or has to.

Living in a home is a central EXPERIENCE, a basic statute, a primary condition of human life, and its importance can be seen in its full significance in many, varying aspects. As the home and living in it are central human experiences, so the metaphor of the home is central to man’s rhetorical apparatus, and is present in our belief, psychological, cultural and in many contexts.

I'm sure most of us have understood the word "home" mean "us", our hearts, our souls and our minds, the very core of who we are and everything that comes with it. Our DRIVES, our DESIRE, our WILL, our WORK, our IDENTITY, our INTENTION, our SACRIFICES...the home contains all that WE ARE, all that is WITHIN US and what we STOOD FOR, Our MASONIC SOUL.

Our new Read Masonic Centre (RMC) @OUG is not just a purpose-built iconic building for Freemasonry. It was designed and built with many intricate details closely supervised by the building committee composing of experienced brethren who worked tirelessly on pro bono basis, who spend countless hours of hard work, sweat and dedication to materialise it.

On top of that, many fixtures like doors, carpets and multiple furniture and fittings were decorated to adorn the building that house every freemasons soul were kindly donated by some generous Brethren.

As RMC@OUG is built on freehold land with close proximity to a LRT station, the commercial value has appreciated considerably.
