Continued arts education is an essential component of a well-rounded curriculum. The whole of civilization is based on cultures that center around the seven lively arts for expression, synthesis, and definition of those cultures. To cut funding for the arts condemns future generations to a less fulfilling, less meaningful existence.

I am disabled if I lose my benefits I have to become a criminal or commit suicide. How about adding a law to euthanise the poor that's what you really want. I feel the same way about every member of the republicult!!

You know, even Republicans watch and listen to Public Broadcasting. Our children were raised on Sesame Street. We all enjoy "A Prairies Home Companion." Even the guys like "Click and Clack."

What would we do without NOVA and Nature.

Finally, NPR is the only media outlet that is opening, not closing its foreign bureaus.

Do we want our of our news fed to us by the MSM and the RWM? And, Comcast?

I think not.

We need to preserve Public Broadcasting.

I am fortunate enough to be able to help support it. But, some are not able to. Should they be deprived of "Antiques Roadshow," just because the Republican controlled house is offended by their programming.

Hey, guys and gals. What's your problem with Charlie Rose?

Too smart for you?

Please do not even think about taking away one of the few consistantly smart progressive media sources available for us.

I think we need to tell the Republican leadership that this Spending Reduction Act on clean energy & the arts will have nothing to solve our economic problems here at home. I think this is a stupid bill for all of us, & the party of no wants to repeal it in their graps. We will not refuse to take arts away & solve our problems for a better future. It will make things much worse as time goes by. Tell them to oppose this bill before it's too late! Thanks.
