In typical BOS fashion , a proposed regulation was drafted by our health department and approved by our BOS members.

This affects all livestock , however targets our roosters specifically.

For my family personally, our chickens clear our five acres of ticks , provide nourishment for my family and neighbors. Our flock is protected by our Roo , due to such animals as , fox , chicken hawks , raccoons and so on.

This issue has stemmed from one resident in the center of town and their complaints from adjoining neighbors.

This is a “Not In my back yard “ issue. ( Words used by our selectmen on other issues ) In Ma. we have a right to farm our land.
